The ‘Quiet Switch’ is indeed very quiet. It takes some getting used to as it does not require the ‘tug’ that seems to be the norm for the majority of ceiling pull switches accompanied by that annoying and loud “click/clack”. Installation was easy and existing holes aligned and cable hole was covered so no additional work in our case (bonus). Since installation we have had a house guest but now without the intrusive ‘click/clack” when said guest visits the bathroom during the night. We have installed the Quiet Switch in two locations and are very pleased with the outcome. I haven’t explored the technology within but it would make sense to have this switch installed to replace all ceiling pull switches where noise is considered intrusive. Does exactly what it promotes - have gone from a loud bing bong to an almost silent light switch on. Needed this in my life years ago such a great purchase you won't be disappointed

I thought I had fitted a quiet pull switch in the past for my bathroom ceiling lights - this old supposed quiet pull switch started to fail - so when I ordered a new pull switch from QuietSwitch I was expecting it to be similar to what I had previously fitted. How wrong I was. The new pull switch from QuietSwitch is so much quieter that my old 'so called' quiet pull switch because it doesn't make a click sound as you pull it and therefore you can be mistaken by pulling the cord harder than needed as it is almost completely silent. This pull switch would be great in properties where neighbour noise could be an issue meaning the switch wouldn't be heard at all, or in any properies where you want to keep noise to a minimun. I shall be ordering another QuietSwitch to replace the pull switch for a neighbours bathroom as hers has started to fail like my old one did.

It really is silent

This pull switch is barely audible! It’s made a huge difference. So pleased.

The simple answer is yes it is, almost inaudible in fact. I fitted two Quietswitches in our guest suite. One of our friends visits monthly to spend a week working in Tiverton and gets up early ready to leave at 7. We don't rise so early so the click-clack of the standard pull switch in the toilet followed by another click-clack in the shower followed by turning them both off was disturbing. The Quietswitches stopped this and gave me the enthusiasm to stop the shower door screeching at the same time. Now we have peaceful lie-ins!

Cannot believe how quiet this switch is, no more waking others up. Thoroughly recommend.

Ok so I only put this up this morning, honestly the amount of times I'm woken up by a click from the previous light switch you wouldn't believe!
This is practically silent the faintest noise would never hear it unless underneath it waiting for it!

Came across these while on Google. Our downstairs bathroom pull switch is so noisy so I thought nothing to lose by trying one, it had to be an improvement, wow, you only just hear a faint click when switching on and it's totally silent switching off - so good I have ordered one for the upstairs bathroom - 100% recommend.
