Chrome version. It hasn't been installed for long and I hope it lasts because it's doing a great job so far. In order to accommodate the mechanism, the switch housing is slightly deeper than the average standard noisy switch. It hardly matters though unless you have something in the way. It was simple to fit. The screw holes are in a slightly different position than your average pull switch but when you screw one of them up, it's fairly easy to persuade the second one to install close enough. SILENT - well practically. I haven't been disturbed by it yet. You don't have to pull with so much force as a clicky switch and that will need a bit of acclimatisation. It's very good and worth the cost because it completely alleviates the deaded clunk in the night which practically wakes everyone in the street or at least triggers the blessed pigeons! Great product, I highly recommend it.
Flimsy, unremarkable switch with several flaws.
The switch has a very small 'tick' not the usual "KLICK". so others can sleep, I originally bought for on-suite but bought another for guest bedroom as I was so happy with it.
I wish I had bought this switch earlier. Countless times I have been woken up in the night by a noisy switch amplified by the space between the floors. No longer! With QuietSwitch, I can't even here it when I'm in the bathroom. Wonderful!

I'm astonished by how good this light switch is, i was sick and tired of being woken during the night by nocturnal toilet invaders, this has removed the problem. It was easy to fit once i'd watched a couple of youtube videos to make sure i knew what i was doing ( i had 4 wires in my old switch rather than 3). Overall i'm very happy with my purchase and i highly recommend them, wish i'd known about them years ago!
The cheap Howdens pull-string switches that we had, had a hard loud click. That might be why they broke. The Quietswitch switches are so soft that you don't know that you have clicked them on or off. We are still tugging the string too hard. Takes a bit of getting used to. The second problem is that one of the three we replaced had a load of electrical connectors stuffed into the switch space, and these don't fit into the Quietswitch fitting. As a temporary arrangement I have attached the Quietswitch housing to original cheap switch. Looks a bit odd, but the alternative is some quite radical engineering. However, the two others works OK, with a bit of sawing away of the plasterboard. One was awkward because of a joist. The cable hole is not central, so it isn't a simple replacement.

The pulley switch is quiet as advertised. No need to pull the chord hard , just a very small pull for on or off .
Used my QuietSwitch for over a week now. Compared to my old light pull it’s like chalk and cheese, hardly any noise. Highly recommend.
