We had an LED dimming pull switch that failed. As the dimming function didn’t work very well anyway, we just wanted to replace it with an identical un-dimmable, but definitely ‘quiet’ switch. This unit fits the bill; it isn’t silent, but it doesn’t claim to be silent, instead there is just a very soft click tone. They cost a fair bit more than the standard, ‘objectionably load’, pull switches, but I would recommend them to anyone wanting a much quieter alternative/replacement.
This switch has made a signicant difference to my families sleep, not afraid to use the toilet during the night, should have purchased some time ago but was not aware such a thing existed, absolutely brilliant.
Very easy to replace previous switch and tinyest of noises when turning it on and barely any noise turning it off. Thoroughly recommend and will be buying another one for my other bathroom

I am very noise sensitive. As in it causes me actual pain. Our bathroom light noise before quiet switch was installed was horrible. Now everyone enjoys how quiet it is !!
I’m quite a competent DIYer so I wasn’t worried about changing over the switches. However the input in and out ports for the wires did initially confuse me as I was looking for the common part. It fitted over our original so no repainting needed.
You also need to be gentle pulling the cord to turn on / off as without the click of normal switch you forget to release the pull cord. Took us a little while to get used to than.
Would 200% recommend this.
Just be careful as I ordered a chrome but got a white. Didn’t bother me too much as I was so desperate to get it fitted
Originally replaced one of seven bathroom LED down lighters running off the same ceiling pull switch. But the ballast of the the new LED had been upgraded and too sensitive for my original noisy pull switch and would just cause all the lights to briefly flash on and off and would need two more pulls to work. The QuietSwitch fitted the original switch screw holes perfectly with room for excess wire and no need for touch up paint. The terminal screws were more robust than previous switches and the lights worked perfectly first time, every time with the added bonus of hardly any noise. No more effort/tension was needed pull the switch than any other type of ceiling pull switch.
Almost silent in operation, these switches are simple to instal and very effective. After an initial trial of one unit, I have now ordered two more.
